A Book a Day: The Fifth Season
Jun. 10th, 2020 01:47 pm Every day I'm posting an image of a book I like. This week I'm apparently going thematic. Anyhow, this is the first volume of a trilogy--one which, but the way, remains solid all the way through--that looks at systemic and structural oppressions in the context of global catastrophe. It's brutal and unflinching and also has some of the most beautiful writing because Jemisin is amazing. FWIW you do have to be in a certain kind of mindset to read it--again with the unflinching. But highly recommended.
