caitriI had my pre-op visit with the doctor today. My surgery is still Friday, but it will be with the robot now, and I am disproportionately excited about this, because robots.*
*I am informed that the robot will be driven by a human or whatever, but still. Robot.
I also survived Thanksgiving last week, which is more or less all that can be said. My Mom was on good behavior at least. I remarked to Scott that I was wondering about starting therapy again with the goal of learning to be less bothered by family stuff. Scott wisely pointed out that me being bothered by family stuff meant that I had healthy boundaries and self-esteem, and that he would be hugely worried if I WASN'T bothered by the bullshit. So there's that.
Anyways, I am anxious and preoccupied, but soon I will at least be feeling better, and I will also be reading novels in bed while on painkillers, which is the height of luxury as far as I'm concerned.
