caitriJust finished setting out my fancy duds for that other job interview tomorrow. I always feel nervous wearing my dress suit, like I'm afraid I'm just going to look like a kid playing dress-up or something.
Feel extra nervy as my boss (jerk-wad though he is) told me today that there's a stereotype about people with MLSes applying for technician jobs, for instance "why can't she get a real librarian position?" will always be in the back of their heads, and never mind the money or experience issues. The problem with libraries and archives is they don't want you without the experience, and you can't really get the experience without getting in. Grr. But I've just made up my mind I'm gonna go in there first thing in the morning, ask for as much as they're willing to give, and say fuck all. Screw 'em, Angus! (Thanks to Jim for pep-talking me. Can ya tell?)
