I am celebrating with a hardy meal of frozen chicken nuggies, taters, and leftover birfday cake! Yeah, I know, I'm a wild thang! ;)

I've come to the conclusion that when I get around to learning real cooking (i.e. when I get out of my hellhole), I want to study Japanese cooking also. Well specifically sushi, but other stuff too. Does anyone happen to know any good books on the subject? I've seen like starter sushi how-to kits in stores also, but you know me and how I like my research!

I'd recommend finding a cooking class, actually. Nothing says learning like some hands-on experience. You'll also need access to a good Asian grocery store along the lines of the Buford Highway Farmer's Market here in town (drop me a line next time you're home to visit the fam and we can go shopping--they have the BEST ASIAN CANDY IN THE WORLD).

Also, thanks for the reminder that it's solstice. I'm so stressed it totally slipped my mind.

Yeah, but classes cost more dollari. ;) Asian markets no problemo though.
