Please go out and read something someone says you shouldn't!! (No, Harry Potter doesn't count, you know you read those back in July! ;)) The ALA has a handy page full of info, including lists of most challenged books.

Here's some selections to get you started, from the 100 Most Frequently Challenged List:

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle (Why? Cos you know you're in trouble when you're in the suburbs and EVERYONE does EVERYTHING at the SAME TIME.)

The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood (Why? Cos it's creepy and it shows you what this country could SO turn into.)

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (Why? Cos it too is creepy and shows you weird dystopian possibilities.)

Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A.N. Roquelaure (Anne Rice) (Why? Because sometimes you have to take a break from literary dystopias and just read about kinky sex.)
