Despite the fact that it was raining cats, dogs, and assorted livestock yesterday, I took my workbreak and went to see apartments and finally found *the one*. It's a beautiful efficiency in Cleveland Park, two blocks from Van Ness. I've been ridiculously on high ever since. I can move in on the 28th and am working on getting things ready. Many thanks to Carolynn and Eric for giving me some of their boxes, and many thanks to Scott for storing some of them and for helping me with the impending move.

Last night he made me an awesome dinner, and because I've developed an annoying cough probably because of said livestock rain, he went and bought me orange juice. Today he and I went to the Ren Faire and had an awesome time wondering about watching shows and making fun of all the foods on a stick that can be had.

Speaking of shows, SHAKESPEARE'S SKUM will be performing in Arlington in November. Advance tickets are $15. Anyone wanna go?? :D

Yay! Congrats on finding the new place!

I found the search for an apartment/condo to be much like dating--this one is nice, but doesn't give me enough space; this other one is edgy and hip, but we just can't compromise about the tiny kitchen. I'm glad you found a good match :)

Oh it is so great! Very small but in an awesome neighborhood, two blocks from the grocery store and metro, three from an organic store, theater, and lots of restaurants and stuff. I love that neighborhood and am so amazed I found a place there!!!
