After lots of paperwork we've been allowed to adopt two adorable teenage kittens from True Blue Animal Rescue. One is a calico and the other is an orange tabby with this great bottlebrush tail. They are settling in alright--they are very cuddly and using the litterbox fine. They haven't eaten that much yet which could be because I got them unfamiliar food or too much excitement (they had to go to the vet for paperwork before coming to their new home). Later I think I'll try tempting them with a little bit of tuna. They also have some flea meds their foster-mom gave me for them that I've wrapped in butter to solidify in the fridge before I pop it in their gullets--makes it harder for them to spit it out.

We're testing names. Tentatively we are calling the calico "Lady Sylvanas" and the tabby "Varamathis" because we are too nerdy for our own good.
