Obsolete like Blockbuster

caitriThe local Blockbuster is going under and closing shop, so Scott and I stopped by to to see if there were any of the advertised $4 films that appealed to us....
Yup. Watchmen? Check. Bottle Shock? Check. X-Men 2? Check. Etc. We got about fourteen DVDs in all. Happy Christmas to us, early.
Speaking of Christmas,100wordspermin again proves herself one of the bestest friends ever as she got Neil Gaiman to sign a copy of Odd and the Frost Giants for me. I am baking her whatever the hell she wants for Xmas!!!!!!!!
Speaking of baking, we're having a Goodie Day at work tomorrow since people have already started leaving for holidays, so we'll have a proper holiday party in January. So I'm making cupcakes, the recipe for which a friend of a friend provided me. Basically, mix up devil's food cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, instant coffee (or coffee liqueur--in my case two packets of Via) and chocolate chips, and you have obscenely moist goodness. The batter is so thick you can basically just dump a large wobbelly spoon of the stuff into a liner and have done. All to be sprinkled with powdered sugar, and voila, chocolatey goodness. They should be out in half an hour. The house smells AWESOME.
ETA: To make my geeker joy complete, the existence of an Earth-like planet has been confirmed. I don't care of the temperature is something like five hundred degrees, I wanna go there!!!!!!
