Date: 2012-09-12 09:00 pm (UTC)My family left Alaska about a year after my brother died because my parents couldn't live in the house anymore, my little sister was failing high school, and I had severe seasonal affective disorder that shot my academic career dead in the water. Moving to Midland was simply because my father's parents live there and he's in the oil business, so, ya know, Texas.
It was totally the best choice we made.
Have a cookie with all my heavy feels. And tea. And Romulan Ale.
P.S. I WILL STILL WRITE THAT DAMN THING. I WILL. ONE DAY.

You are one of those people who always checks in on my posts--you post something nice if I'm grumpy or depressed, or you leave a thoughtful comment if I'm just rambling away. I'm reasonably certain you are the type of person who does that to people in real life in addition to odd girls on the interwebs!

Not exactly a specific one, but you often come to lend support during Word Wars, and you almost always call me darlin'. <3

Date: 2012-10-11 04:02 am (UTC)What does Treksnoopy mean? It' simply the merger of the two things in my life have been a constant. Longer than motherhood & longer than my marriage.
I've loved Peanuts cartoons all my life. Most people don't look back or realize that they are actually pretty thoughtful. As I age, the meanings of different scenarios take on different values. Like any good cartoon, it relates on many levels.
I discovered Trek when I was about 8 years old. It always resonated with me even if I wasn't sure why. As I grew older I began to understand.
All that aside, it's simply two of my life long passions combined when I chose to identify myself. This time. It's the alias I've used that I actually like best.

Your voice. Is that weird? But you have a lovely one, and my favorite bits of listening to your podfics is when it sounds like you want to laugh but you're repressing it but I can hear it anyway. <3

I like that you're a podficcer. There doesn't seem to be as many of those in fandom, and I just think it's AMAZING how some people are able to transform works with their voices! It's so different than words or pictures...I can't quite tell you how, but it is and it's great and I'm glad you do it and am amazed by HOW MUCH you do it!!

Your "I've never imitated the sounds of sex before!" comments on "Draw Back Your Bow." Is it odd I think that admission was strangely brave? But I do.

Kirk/Bones and also bandoms I've never heard of because I have a horrible taste in music. ;)

I like your "I am awesome" one of the girl with the headphones. In my head you look just like that girl. (My bad if you don't and there's a whole race/sex/gender assumption thing going on I didn't intend... this is me trying to be all encompassing for the internets...)
