I left Alaska to be closer to you. Duh.



My family left Alaska about a year after my brother died because my parents couldn't live in the house anymore, my little sister was failing high school, and I had severe seasonal affective disorder that shot my academic career dead in the water. Moving to Midland was simply because my father's parents live there and he's in the oil business, so, ya know, Texas.

It was totally the best choice we made.

Have a cookie with all my heavy feels. And tea. And Romulan Ale.

P.S. I WILL STILL WRITE THAT DAMN THING. I WILL. ONE DAY.
